MANNAGGIA AMORE
Giuseppe Porsile cantatas for soprano
Passacaille
PAS 1061
release: September 2019
This album offers a sampling of vocal and instrumental chamber works by the prominent Neapolitan composer Giuseppe Porsile (5 May 1680-29 May 1750). Porsile followed a career path from his native city to Barcelona at the end of 1707, and then to Vienna, where he served the Habsburg Emperor Charles VI for nearly three decades before retiring during the reign of Empress Maria Teresia. Premiere recordings, a reconstructed sonata and some of Porsile's best hits, featuring soprano Stefanie True.

NAPLES 1759
Passacaille
PAS 1013
release: October 2015
After a remarkable apogee in its repertoire in the 1720s and 30s, by the middle of the eighteenth century the recorder was slowly but surely retiring from the public eye. But here and there the instrument was kept breathing. Naples, 1759: a handful of recorder sonatas were copied. This album presents all but one of the six works dated 1759. Added to these are two other sonatas, also previously unrecorded, stemming from another important recorder collection now held in New York, and the little known “Quattro Stagioni” by Francesco Durante, a piece for harpsichord solo, kept in Lisbon. *

DOLCE NAPOLI
sonate & concerti
per flauto
Passacaille
PAS 1007
release: February 2015
Recorded in the summer of 2013, with an ensemble of seven musicians, 'Dolce Napoli' presents unique concertos and sonatas by amongst others Fiorenza, Rosa, Leo, Pullj and Mancini, including works only very recently rediscovered. The CD also premieres two copies of Italian Baroque recorders never heard in modern times, which were the focus of this first project. Also unique is the use of three different pitches for the recording, accompanying the original pitches of the recorders utilized. In this way, the sonority of all the instruments used are varied in a ‘pitch wave’ that fluctuates between A=425Hz, A=415Hz and A=405Hz.
